What began as a small operation in Land O' Lakes has grown into one of Tampa Bay's most trusted hardscaping companies — not through advertising gimmicks, but through word-of-mouth referrals earned one driveway, one patio, and one pool deck at a time.
Alton is a hands-on owner who is personally present from the initial estimate through the final inspection of every project. That's rare in this industry — most companies send a salesperson to close the deal and then hand the work off to subcontractors you've never met. Our Story
Alton Guimaraes grew up around hardscaping — it's in the family. Brazilian Brick Pavers was born in 2003 when Alton saw a gap in the Tampa Bay market: plenty of general contractors claimed they could lay pavers, but very few specialized in it. Specialization matters because paver installation done right requires knowledge of Florida's unique soil conditions, drainage requirements, and the way our heat and humidity affect base compaction and joint sand over time.
From the beginning, Alton committed to three principles that still guide every project today. First, use premium materials — we source exclusively from Tremron, Belgard, Flagstone Paver, and Stone Mart because their products are engineered for Florida's climate. Second, do the base work right — a paver surface is only as good as what's underneath it, so we never cut corners on excavation depth, limestone base thickness, or compaction. Third, stand behind the work — every installation comes with a 2-year labor warranty, and we've honored that promise for over two decades.
Today the company handles everything from intimate courtyard patios in Lutz to large-scale commercial hardscaping in Tampa, and from pool deck resurfacing in Trinity to complete driveway replacements in Wesley Chapel. Our bilingual crews (English, Portuguese, and Spanish) allow us to serve Tampa Bay's diverse communities with clear communication and mutual respect.
